Yumeng Xie

Dr. Xie is a dedicated researcher specializing in the molecular mechanisms of synaptic homeostatic plasticity, which is critical for stabilizing brain function, as well as the molecular link between homeostatic plasticity and neurodevelopmental, neuropsychiatric, and neurodegenerative disorders. Her work primarily focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms of synaptic plasticity and its impact on neural circuitry. With a strong background in neuronal and psychiatric diseases, Yumeng’s research combines cutting-edge techniques in electrophysiology, molecular biology, imaging, and behavioral methods to uncover novel insights into brain function. Her ongoing projects aim to translate these findings into therapeutic strategies that could mitigate the impact of synaptic damage in various neurological disorders.
