Dr. Priyanka Joshi leads the Laboratory of Biomolecular Homeostasis & Resilience at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she investigates how protein homeostasis becomes dysregulated in aging and neurodegenerative diseases. The lab employs an interdisciplinary approach combining structural proteomics, chemical biology, and AI approaches to map metabolite-protein interactions that drive cellular processes underlying neurodegeneration. By studying the stochastic nature of protein misfolding and developing quantitative tools to decode the protein-metabolite structural-ome, the Joshi Lab aims to identify novel therapeutic targets and predictive biomarkers for age-related diseases, advancing both fundamental biological understanding and translational therapeutic innovation.
