Giving Opportunities
Pharmacology & Physiology Research Fund
This fund was established by Dr. Frank Standaert in 1985, and supports department investment in cutting edge, high priority research areas. Your giving supports pilot studies and rapid response to department research needs, enabling innovative discovery by our faculty and trainees.
Wolfe Director of Graduate Studies Fund
This fund was established in 2024 and recognizes Dr. Barry Wolfe, who led our PhD program for 30 years. The Fund supports student travel to conferences, faculty-student interactions, and the Director of the PhD program.
The Department has committed a $100,000 match for gifts in support of this fund made before July 2025.
The Karen Gale Memorial Lectureship
This fund, established in 2015, supports an annual lecture named for Dr. Karen Gale, who was a full Professor in the Department for over 25 years. Gale was the founding director of the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience, and a stalwart advocate for trainees, early career investigators, underrepresented scientists, and women scientists.
Pharmacology & Physiology MS Activity Fund
As our MS Program in Pharmacology celebrates is 20th anniversary, we seek to grow our support for both the MS Pharmacology and MS Physiology programs. This fund will support student activities, career panels, and team building for trainees in these programs.
Support this FundSpecial MS in Physiology Excellence Fund
The Special MS in Physiology, the oldest program of its kind in the United States, celebrates 50 years of preparing future physicians for medical school. Donations supporting the Excellence Fund help aspiring medical professionals on their path to saving lives and supporting public health.
