About: Joseph graduated from the University of Washington in 2025. At UW, Joseph worked in Dr. Jens Gundlach’s Nanopore Lab where his research work focused on utilizing MspA nanopores to perform nucleotide sequencing and biophysical measurementd. Joseph also worked in Dr. Bo Zhang’s Electrochemistry Lab where he worked on nanopore sensing, patch-clamping, and TIRF microscopy. In 2025, Joseph started his PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology at Georgetown University. There, he completed his first lab rotation with Dr. Tinatin Brelidze’s lab where he worked on fluorescence proteomics of Ether-a-go-go 1 (EAG1) voltage gated potassium channels, drug screening, and protein purification.
