Emme Van Doorn

Research Interests: Molecular neuropharmacology, cell signaling, drug discovery

Education:

Emory University, B.S. Neuroscience, 2023

About: Emme is a 2023 graduate of Emory University, where she spent a year helping characterize a novel peptide assembly with proteomic techniques, namely Cryo-EM. She then joined Emory’s Hepler lab as a Research Specialist studying Rgs14: a suppressor of synaptic plasticity – implicated in learning and memory. She researched Rgs14’s nuclear binding partners with mass spectrometry, its structural determinants of renal phosphate transport with molecular cloning, and renal signaling cascade with biophysical techniques.
