Dr. Myers spent the major part of his career as a cardiovascular researcher and educator, first in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics, and subsequently in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. His research program focused on the effects of drugs and hormones on cardiovascular and platelet function. Simultaneously, he has been a leader in graduate education, designing, implementing and/or directing, in collaboration with colleagues, many programs at Georgetown, including the Advanced Biomedical Sciences Certificate joint program with George Mason University, Special Master’s Program in Physiology & Biophysics, PhD and MS in Physiology & Biophysics, among others. Currently, he is Co-Director (with Adriane Fugh-Berman, M.D.) of the Health & the Public Interest MS and the Addiction Policy & Practice MS (with Regina La Belle, J.D.) in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
